Warren Lasch is the recently retired President and current Vice Chairman of Precision Motor Transport Group, LLC, in Okemos, Michigan. Since the founding of Precision Motor Transport Group in 1992, Warren Lasch has pioneered the enclosed vehicle transport industry by developing specialized carriers vehicles for cross-country automobile transportation.
After graduating from John Carroll University of University Heights, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1968, Warren Lasch entered the vehicle transportation business. At Leaseway Transportation Corporation, Warren Lasch earned more and more responsibilities, climbing from the corporate mailroom to the position of Operations Manager for one of the company’s truck-leasing subsidiaries. Warren Lasch left Leaseway Transportation Corporation to join The Hertz Corporation in 1972 as a District Manager. Eventually rejoining Leaseway as head of the company’s Michigan Group, and later the Marketing and Sales Director for its Cleveland headquarters, Mr. Lasch contributed strategic thinking that helped the group to develop into a $350-million earner in annual revenue. Mr. Lasch later helped found Robin Transport Inc., the specialized motor vehicle carrier service, and Bavarian Motor Transport Inc., which delivered new BMW vehicles to dealerships all across the United States. When Bavarian Motor Transport and Tri-Star Transport, Inc., became subsidiaries of Precision Motor Transport Group in 1992, Warren Lasch guided the new conglomerate as President, boosting revenue from $3 million to over $70 million in his 16 years at the helm. In 2008, Mr. Lasch stepped down as President, although he continues to act as Vice Chairman of the company.
In addition to his work in the automotive transportation industry, Warren Lasch was Chairman of the Friends of the Hunley for nine years. Aiding the Friends of the Hunley in their cause, Mr. Lasch took up the effort to recover, restore, and preserve the historic submarine, the H.L. Hunley, and the legacy of its heroic crew. Mr. Lasch continues to contribute to other organizations such as the American Trucking Association, Habitat for Humanity, and local soup kitchens. Outside of work, Warren Lasch enjoys the simple pleasures of golf and travel.
